Shapes copycat recipe

My man-friend is a bit of a junk food junkie. When we are travelling we can't get his favourite Shapes crackers. This recipe fixes his cravings.

Ingredients

  • 50 g parmesan grated
  • 100 g tasty cheese grated
  • 200 g plain flour
  • .5 c ice water
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Topping sprinkle

  • 2 t sumac
  • 2 t smoked paprika
  • 1 t mixed herbs

Instructions

  • Put cheeses and flour together in a blender and create a crumb
  • In a bowl, add the iced water with the cheeses and flour
  • Using your hands bring the ingredients together to form a dough kneading gently. Your hand heat will soften the cheeses and dough will form.
  • Cut the dough into four pieces. Wrap/cover 3 to prevent drying out. Roll out later.
  • Between two sheets of baking paper, roll out the dough until it is about 2mm thick.
  • Add any sprinkled toppings now and press into dough (or use spray oil then sprinkle).
  • Using a sharp knife cut the dough into shapes. Keep in mind that the dough will shrink by about a quarter.
  • Line a baking tray and cook for 15 minutes at 180deg, until golden.
