Steamed pancakes

Make your own for duck pancakes. These pancakes are simple to make and are lovely and elastic.

Equipment

  • Bamboo Steamer

Ingredients
  

  • .5 c plain flour
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 1 t sesame oil

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl add the flour and stir in the boiling water
  • Mix until it forms a dough ball
  • Once cool enough to handle knead the dough until smooth
  • Cover and rest dough for 20 minutes
  • Prepare steamer and place in liner
  • While water is coming to the boil prepare the dough by portioning it into 10-12 pieces
  • Roll out pancake as thin as you can and that fits the steamer
  • Steam for a minute or so. While this one is steaming start rolling out the rest
  • Steam, roll, repeat, until wrappers are done

Notes

Lightly brush each one with oil to prevent sticking and keep warm under a tea towel
